Differentiating the cause of dyspnea in patients with heart failure and coexisting chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)  is often a significant diagnostic challenge. That is why it is so important to use all available diagnostic methods. One of them may be impedance cardiography, the usefulness of which in everyday practice has been demonstrated by the authors of this article.
